Summer Camp Care Package Ideas
Over night camp can be exciting and is always so much fun, but it can also feel lonely at times. One of the very best parts of summer camp is receiving a care package from your loved ones back at home, and a package is a great reminder that you are loved and missed!
What to put in camp care packages?
Fill your care package with letters and a fun something for your child to enjoy (or share!) Here is a list of fun things to add to your child’s care package:
Quiz books! These are so fun, and a great way to get to know each other, share thoughts and ideas and share lots of laughs.
Me Vs. You Head To Head Pencil Game Challenge (Don’t forget to throw in a few pencils!)
Perfect for some down time – this book will be so fun! Play tons of pencil games, some of which you have heard of (like Tic Tac Toe) but there are some new ones in here too!
Glow Sticks (100 count)
Instantly become the ‘cool mom’ when you send a package of glow sticks to camp. The best thing about these is that they are such a bargain and there are plenty so share!
Mad Libs – Camp Daze or Letters From Camp
Who doesn’t love Mad Libs? Plus, they have some books specifically for camp, which makes these extra fun.
The Camp Bunk Box of Questions
I think this is such a fun idea. Send your daughter to camp with the Camp Bunk Box of Questions to ask her bunk mates and new friends. What a perfect conversation starter and a fun way to get to know everyone.
Would You Rather & You Gotta Be Kidding
These are two games that we really enjoy. They are great in the car, but perfect for camp as well! A fun way to get to know other kids and ALWAYS good for laughs.
Pack a new pair of sunglasses! Chose a fun color or design and send them just in case something happens to their original pair. (You may want to send an extra pair of socks too.)
Aren’t these S’more notecards adorable? Perfect for camp! Send them along with a few stamps and a pen so your child can write letters!
Speaking of sending along pens…. Send smelly pens! Writing is a big part of camp, and these pens will be a huge hit.
Bonus Money Saving Tip: When you purchase from Amazon, you can enter your child’s address at camp and have it sent directly to them. You can even include a note! 🙂 This is a great way to avoid having to pay for shipping!
And if you get bored while the kids are at summer camp, here are some fun home organizing and DIY ideas that you can do to keep you buys:
