In StudioDisney Behind the Scenes: In The Recording Studio Voicing Olaf #DisneyFrozenEvent

Disclosure: This event and trip to LA will be an all expense paid journey sponsored by Disney. All thoughts, experiences and Disney character crushes are 100% my own!

My recent trip to LA included a day spent at the Disney Animation Studios, which included the awesome opportunity to spend time in a real recording studio. It’s so crazy to actually see how these movies come together and how much work it takes to get the character voices pieced into a film and to experience the step-by-step process of seeing how a movie goes from concept to the big screen. After spending only 10 minutes in the recording studio, I have an appreciation for this process, and I understand better how much work and passion to into these projects and I have so much respect for these teams at Disney that literally pour their hearts into these movies. In the recording booth, we had the chance to meet and speak with Gabe Guy, he is the Sound Mixer that worked on Frozen. He has an impressive resume, and has worked on other Disney films including Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled, and the short film that you will see at the beginning of Frozen called, Get A Horse!

Getting the opportunity to voice Olaf, the snowman, was so much fun! Quite intimidating too, as we didn’t have long to learn the lines, and let me tell you, things move fast and it’s kind of tricky to keep your mind on the words and the character. I had a blast doing this though and in case you need a laugh today, here is a peek at my attempt to voice Olaf, and down below you will see the finished piece with ME playing Olaf:

I would love for you to read my review of the movie Frozen, and my behind the scenes look at The Making of Get A Horse!my round up of Disney Frozen merchandise, my recap of my day at the Disney Animation Studios, my experience on the red (errr white) carpet at the world premiere of Frozen, and check out my interview with Kristen Bell (the voice of Anna!) also make sure to follow all of the Frozen excitement:

  1. @mschoya:disqus… I wish I felt natural at it, lol! I have to concentrate so hard, and even then can’t seem to stay focused. So much fun though, wasn’t it?
