One thing that you might not know about me is that I  used to work for a cosmetic manufacturer as an art director, and one of my favorite parts of that job was hanging out with the product development team to sample, test and smell products. We had one lady on that team who was very versed at essential oils and she really educated me on many of their amazing qualities for everything from giving you an energy boost and/or lifting your mood, or even more serious benefits, like helping with sleep issues, boosting the immune system and more!

Since then (and this was years ago!) I have always made sure to have a few of my favorite essential oils on hand. I use Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus quite often, and Lavender is another of my favorites.

I was really excited then,  when the folks at Plant Therapy reached out to me for a review. They send me this wonderful 14 Essential Oil Set to review, and I have to tell you that as soon as I opened the box, the fragrance created by the blend of all these wonderful oils immediately filled the room. So relaxing and wonderful!

I highly recommend following Plant Therapy on facebook, where they feature an Oil of The Week each week, where one person will actually win the oil,  and everyone can get 10% off of the oil featured each week. If you want to learn more about essential oils, then I also recommend following along on the Plant Therapy blog here.

My thoughts? I love this 14 pc set because it literally has just about every oil that you would need for whatever you might be needing… and each bottle contains an explanation of what the oils can be used for, how to use them and the different moods and or emotions that they might inspire.  I also love that you can reference the Plant Therapy website for even more information if you are unsure of how to use one of the oils.

I actually made a homemade fabric softener with the Tea Tree Oil, and it made our towels smell so wonderful! You can find the recipe here. I think I will try the Lavender and/or Lemon next.
