I was hunting for a fun ornament idea to do with the kids and stumbled on this simple and inexpensive Salt Dough Christmas Ornament Recipe! I am excited to give it a try and see how they come out!

Salt Dough Christmas Ornament Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 c flour
  • 1/2 c salt
  • About 1/2 c of warm water

Other supplies

  • Polyurethane spray
  • Paint
  • Ribbon
  • Cookie Cutters

  1. I have two girls with birthdays next week, turning 8 & 6. We are having an iCarly/Mustache party. If you’re familiar with iCarly you may know about the Merry Sniffmas Tree that Spencer the older brother and artist/sculptor made which was a Christmas tree covered in nose ornaments. At the slumber party we will be watching this episode, and my girls have a 3 1/2 foot artificial tree for their room which we will decorate with noses. I am thinking of having the girls create their own noses out of the salt dough recipes. Can anyone tell me if this is feasible? I’ve never done salt dough ornaments before…
