Have you tried the Bumble Bee® White or Lump Crabmeat? I have always been a fan of their tuna products, but this past year have become quiet fond of their canned crabmeats. Here is a great recipe that will go nicely as a Thanksgiving appetizer or even for a holiday party. If you love artichoke heart (I do!) then you will love the extra kick of flavor that this appetizer serves up!
Crabmeat Artichoke Spread
Perfect for entertaining or just for a quick bite, this appetizer combines juicy crabmeat, artichoke hearts, cheddar cheese, and creamy yogurt. Spread on a sliced baguette and ìvoila”!
Servings: Serves 8-10 Course: Appetizers
Diet Considerations: Low sugar, Low carb, Diabetic friendly, kid-friendly
1 can(6 oz.)Bumble Bee® White or Lump Crabmeat, drained
1 can (13.75 oz.) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped (8.5 oz. drained weight)
1/3 cup light mayonnaise
1/3 cup non-fat plain yogurt
½ teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350°F. In 11/2 quart baking dish, combine crab, artichoke, mayonnaise, yogurt and seasoning. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until hot. Serve with crackers or sliced baguette or tortilla chips.
