Halloween Arts & Crafts: Oreo Cookie Spiders

I just had to share with you the fun halloween treats that we made last year for my sons kindergarten class. I will warn you first that NO, they are NOT healthy, but YES, they were all kinds of fun to make and eat 🙂

You need:

Oreos, Black Licorice, Yellow Frosting, Red Hots and white paper plates/black marker. Open the cookies to add the yellow frosting (for some reason, spider look cooler with yellow gush oozing out) and also add the licorice sticks (you can cut them in half for shorter spiders) … also use the yellow frosting to glue on the eyes. Draw a spider web on the paper plate and you have Spooky Spider Treats!

  1. I made something like this for my library program a couple years ago. I used the red rope licorice and made smaller legs. Just took the Oreo apart and put the licorice “legs” in and pushed the Oreo back together. But I think I like yours better!
