As I have mentioned several times, I love weekends…..especially weekend mornings because we love to enjoy a big homemade breakfast together as a family. Here is another of our favorite recipes that I thought I would share with all of you. We usually make this one with Corn Flakes, but this morning I had a box of Kellogg’s Crunch Nut Cereal to use up, so we went with that, and it turned out delicious!Crunch French Toast

You will need:

Loaf of bread
Eggs (6-8)
Corn Flakes or other Flake Cereal
Milk
Vanilla

Mix eggs (I use 4 whole eggs and 4 egg whites) with a splash of milk and a tsp. of vanilla. Put 4 cups of cereal in a ziplock bag (or if you are going to use all of the cereal that is left in the box, then you can just keep it in the plastic bag that it comes in) and smash it all up into tiny pieces. Place cereal crumbs into a dish. Dip bread into the egg mixture until both sides are covered, and then dip both sides into the crumb mixture. Place on hot skillet and cook each side until it turns a little golden. Top with berries, syrup, powdered sugar, etc! Enjoy!
