*UPDATE*My girlfriend Jenna got this littlest Pet Shop Advent for under $7 … but she had to paying shipping…there is also a My Little Pony that is under $20 and qualifies for free ship. I just saw these clearanced at Target when they had that big toy sale and they were still over $20!
check them out: Toy Advent Calendars on AmazonLast year we got a Playmobil Advent Calendar (we got the Christmas in the Forest scene) and I can honestly say it was SO neat. AND … we can reuse it every year. Like any Advent Calendar, you open boxes for each day, but with the toy ones, each box has a part of the set … and my kids had so much fun wondering/hoping/guessing what the next day would bring. I thought I would share some of the ones that I have found because this is definately something that you want to purchase early because some of them start the first day of December. Also, you might get a better deal by purchasing one from a previous year, like a 2008 – since they are not a “real” calendar, then date is mostly for collectors, and usually doesn’t effect that function of the set.
Click here to see all the Toy Advent Calendars on Amazon or if you are wanting a more traditional style then there are some really neat Advent Calendars on Amazon starting around $5 with free super saver shipping on orders over $25. Another great one that I found was the the
LEGO City Advent Calendar (7687) which is a little more spendy at $29.99 (free ship)
but very cheap as far as the lego ones go.
Most will have free shipping if you get your order over $25 …. so use the AMAZON FILLER TOOL to find yourself a low priced item that qualifies
(I usually go with a coloring book or flash cards, etc)
Don’t forget that you can use your Swagbucks to pay for these buy purchasing Amazon gift cards with your earned Swagbucks … 45 Swagbucks = $5.00 Amazon Gift Card!!
