>…I am REPOSTING this because I have quite a few more readers than I did the first time I posted it, and it is one of my all time favorite finds! Did you know that Disney will give you FREE stuff for codes on movies that you probably already have? We hit a few garage sales this weekend and picked up a few new movies and just got done entering codes…. 5 movies gets you 500 points, which is enough for some fun stuff: posters, watches, plush animals, radio…and more!! Just visit Disney’s site and enter all your movie codes (Disney makes TONS of movies and there are huge lists on the site) Anyway, on the inside of all of your DVD cases there is a movie code. You go to the site and enter your codes for points which equal FREE STUFF! I have been entering movie codes for about 6 months here … and we are racking up the points…so cool! We got many of our DVDs at yard sales, but as long as the code hasnt’ been entered before, it qualifies! Well…I am off to search for more DVDs …. CLICK HERE to check out the madness!!

…have you ever purchased the 1.00 French Bread Loafs at Walmart? I get one everytime I go in there (they are quite a bit more at Albertson’s, however, sometimes you will get a coupon for a FREE one on your Albies receipt, you just have to do a quick survey.) Anyway – These cheap bread loaves make a quick and yummy breakfast, which I usually prepare right after I put my groceries away because it stores overnight in the fridge and you just take it out and bake it in the morning. It is called
OVERNIGHT FRENCH TOAST….and it is YUM.E.
I got the recipe off of SouthernFood on About.com. I am always looking for cheap, healthy (somewhat), homemade and yummy…especially for breakfast.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons butter, room temperature
12 3/4-inch-thick French bread slices (I just slice up an entire loaf)
6 eggs (I actually use 3 yolks and 6 whites)
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
confectioners’ sugar
Preparation:
Overnight French ToastFor the french toast:
4 tablespoons butter, room temperature 12 3/4-inch-thick French bread slices 6 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 1/4 cup sugar 2 tablespoons maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon salt confectioners’ sugar Spread butter over bottom of large baking pan (jelly roll pan) with 1-inch-high sides. Arrange bread slices in the pan. Combine eggs, milk, sugar, syrup, vanilla and salt in large bowl; whisk until well blended. Pour egg mixture over bread. Turn bread slices to coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 400°. Bake French bread 10 minutes. Turn bread over and continue baking just until golden brown, about 5 to 6 minutes longer. (I actually cook ours for almost 30 minutes…we like it more golden) Transfer cooked French toast to plates and sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar. Serve hot, with maple syrup or your favorite topping. (we use berries/powdered sugar/syrup)

Here is my SUNDAY Blog Box Addition:

Today I added a HANDFUL OF BODY CARE SAMPLES that were given to me by the gal at the cosmetic counter at my Walgreens. Did you know they often have samples?….and here is the GREAT part…alot of times these samples have high dollar coupons in them!! They are sometimes sitting out in baskets, but recently they keep them behind the counter so you may have to ask if they have any. (People were being oink-ish, if you know what I mean) Today I added 4 Samples: Nivea Body Wash (includes a $1.00 & a $3.00 coupon), Nivea Sunkissed Beautiful Legs (includes a $2.00 coupon), and a 1 oz sample of Nivea My Silhouette Redefining Gel, and also a sample of both Aveeno Shampoo and Conditioner. It is NO coincedence that several of these items are or will be Register Reward products…which is why Walgreens is promoting them so hard.

Don’t forget…refer your friends and have them leave a comment and mention your name and
if they win, I’ll drop you a prize too!
